Ginette Claudette - Everything’s Comin up Roses (4.5 Out of 5)
As most of you know by now,
my ears are a little snobbish when it comes to music but from time to time I am
caught by surprise. Today was one of those days, as I waited to tackle the
latest releases in mixtapes this week I decided to dive into some Indy mixtapes.
Upon my musical journey I came across the 8 track EP by Ginette Claudette,
titled “Everything’s Comin up Roses”. I am very happy I listened to this EP
because she is very talented and left me with the want to hear more of her.

Ginette brings forth a soulful pop and hip hop sound that is sure to please. I
usually list a few of my favorite songs on all EP/Mixtape reviews but I Ioved
all the songs.
So I suggest you listen to it from beginning to end. The only
thing lacking was more of a subject matter range but that is hard to do in a
short EP. This artist will be on to watch as she makes her way to the top.
I'm participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s
Portland Firefighter Stair Climb event for the second time this year! During
this event I will be donning full firefighter gear (weighing about 70 lbs.) and
racing up 40 floors all for charity. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be
benefiting from this event.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that
affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are
symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in
finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep
up the momentum of this life-saving research.
This summer I will be including blog entries as I train for
the event and the fundraising efforts!
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those
with cystic fibrosis. Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF

50 Cent: The Lost Tapes Mixtape:
50 Cent is back with another mixtape this week, teaming up
with DJ Drama it sure to include many features from the music elite to build
momentum for a summer album release. Check it out and tell me what you think.

David Banner – Sex, Drugs & Video Games Mixtape:
David Banner is releasing his highly anticipated mixtape
this week as well. The mixtape will be available to fans for a minimum $1
donation that will fund a film to keep his new 2M1 movement going. The album
will drop as soon as he reaches $2 million in donations or on May 22, whichever
comes first. The features include A$AP Rocky, Lil’Wayne, Chris Brown, Snoop
Dogg, Tank, 2 Chainz, Nipsey Hussle and many more. This will be something
totally worth checking out.
Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a
particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim
(Maggie Grace) from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the
kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their
family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses
the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety
and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
Entertainment Weekly has debut some photos from the sequel,
which will be released in theatres October 5.
